In this video i will show you how to
create Connection Objects in Active Directory.
In this exercise, you will create connection objects.
- In the Active Directory Sites And Services tool, find the site that contains the local domain controller and expand this object.
- Expand the name of the local domain controller. Right-click NTDS Settings and select New Active Directory Connection.
- The Find Domain Controllers box appears, showing a list of the servers that are available. Highlight the name of the server to which you want to connect and click OK.
- For the name of the connection object, type Connection. Click OK.
- In the right pane of the Active Directory Sites And Services tool, right-click the Connection item and select Properties.
- When the Connection Properties dialog box appears, type After-hours synchronization in the Description field. For the Transport, choose IP from the drop-down list.
- When you are finished, click OK to save the properties of the Connection object.
